La Delia (2026)

A two channel video installation made by a granddaughter about the life and personality of her charismatic, complex grandmother in her home in central Mexico. The grandmother, Delia, prunes her garden, meticulously washes cans of Coca-Cola, and beautifies her home as she recounts stories from her eight decades of life—stories of endearing childhood memories, her experience working in clandestine economies, and the painful memory of the femicide of her friend from her adolescence. The film installation studies a woman shaped by violence and the domestic oasis she’s made in the pursuit of control, stability, and peace.
