Isabela Escalona is a filmmaker, photographer, and writer living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her work explores the surreal mundanities of everyday life. In both her documentary and fiction works, she explores the subconscious, ambiguity, alienation, and the interiority that form perception and memory.

Isa is a candidate for a Masters in Fine Arts at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She writes about labor for Workday Magazine and hosts film screenings at Dromedary, a gallery-cinema in Lowertown, St. Paul.
